PALACE ON DUTERTE`S CHINA TRIP: EXPECTED PO NATIN NA MAGANDA PO ANG RESULTA NITO SA ATING BAYAN
Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella said that the visit of President Rodrigo Duterte in China will be productive.
According to GMA News Online, Duterte and Chinese President Xi Jinping will sign a number of memoranda.
“Magkakaroon po sila ng signing ng maraming memoranda… and various deals of cooperation between the two countries,” Abella said.
“Expected po natin na maganda po ang resulta nito sa ating bayan, and it will bring in an economic increase. At so inaantabayanan po natin itong ating panibagong pakikipag-usap,” he added. Abella also said that 500 businessmen will go together with Duterte in his trip.
“Mayroon pong related cooperation, at magkikipagkita rin po ang Presidente with National Business Congress Chairman si Zhang Dejiang, at si Chinese Premier na si Li Keqiang,” Abella said.
Meanwhile, Abella refused to confirm if Duterte and President Xi Jinping will discussed the territorial dispute between the Philippines and China. “As far as I know, this [trip] is based more or less on agreement and economic... mainly economic,” Abella said.
“Depende po sa kanya. But in the words of the President, we want a soft landing although wala po tayong pina-planong i-compromise na mga issues, pero timing lang po ang lahat, timing,” he added.
