BREAKING! President Duterte blames ‘Yellow Army’ behind attacks against him
President Duterte has turned the blame on the camp of former President Noynoy Aquino as behind the attacks against him which arose from the concerns on the bloody anti-drug campaign, which latest statistics have reached the 3,000 mark.
“Alam ninyo kung kaninong laro ito, yellow yan. They think the can build a case against me. (And) I’ll be impeached,” the President said, referring to the so-called Yellow Army which was previously known for the supporters of former president Corazon Aquino who was ushered into the presidency after the toppling of martial law in 1986.
The Yellow army has also been associated with former president Noynoy Aquino, the only son of the former president and the late Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr.
Speaking before a new set of appointees at the Heroes Hall in Malacanang, Duterte told his audience that he has no qualms if he is removed from the presidency. Duterte even joked that he was not talking about a young girl in the audience who was in a yellow dress.
“My Gad, I tell you frankly, when I assumed office, with this quest in mind, I prepared to lose my honor, my life and the presidency,” he said. “It appears to the basic principles in my life. My values are not as good as yours, yun ang sabi mo. But these are my own values, I have a set of rules to live by. I have been true to that since I was a young prosecutor,” Duterte said, adding he livid with the same set of principles as he ascended to politics from being Davao City mayor, a congressman, vice-mayor and then the presidency.
