NBI silent on reports that congressman owns Pasay sex hideout
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is keeping its lips sealed about a congressman’s alleged ownership of a sex den in Pasay City even if four vehicles with the license plate number 8– which is issued to lawmakers– were found during their raid in Pasay City. According to a report published by the Philippine Daily Inquirer on Friday (August 12), NBI senior investigator Anna Labao was mum when asked whether the sex den, which was housed in a condominium unit, was owned by a congressman.
During the raid conducted Wednesday night (August 10), authorities discovered a Jaguar, Ford Expedition, Hyundai Starex and Toyota Avanza with the plate number 8.
But of the four vehicles, only the cheapest– the Avanza– was seized by the NBI as one of the suspects confessed that it was used to bring sex workers to their clients.
An NBI official said the vehicles were owned by the operator of the sex den. The bureau did not give any more details about those behind the illegal racket.
Arrested during the raid were five individuals who served as “handlers” for the sex workers, and the rescue of 11 trafficked women who were supposedly pimped to foreigners for -P15,000 to P25,000 each.
