JUST IN: Atom Araullo Resigns As Reporter,Doesn't Want To Be Called Biased

Hunk TV reporter Atom Araullo resigned from his post as a reporter of ABS-CBN News and Public Affairs. Atom resigned from his reportorial duties for TV Patrol, Bandila, and ANC. Many netizens were surprised of Atom’s sudden resignation, but he will remain as one of the hosts for the TV station’s morning show, Umagang Kay Ganda, and Red Alert.

Atom’s strong opinions on certain issues like the controversial Marcos’ burial of former President Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani as well as some of the policies of the Duterte administration.

In order to preserve the integrity of ABS-CBN’s News and Public Affairs as well as not to be tagged as biased reporting, Atom decided to resign.


Meanwhile, Araullo will complete his pending book projects, explore opportunities to pursue his interest in making independent films, and possibly write a column in one of the major newspapers. News organizations must remain objective and unbiased in reporting news. Thus, it is a must for reporters not to inject personal opinions in the news they are reporting. Reporters’ job is to simply deliver the facts.

His resignation from his post will allow him to freely express his opinions and will not be limited by his affiliation to a news organization. Atom is also an advocate of the environment against climate change.

Since he was a kid, Atom was in front of a camera as a host of 5 and Up. His parents are activists battling against Marcos dictatorship and he was a part of League of Filipino Students in his college days.
