5 Cebu cops transfer to rebel-infested areas in Luzon, Mindanao
CEBU CITY - Five police officials in Cebu had been relieved from other respective posts and have been provided for rebel-influenced areas in northern Luzon and Mindanao. Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director Common Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa ordered the quick change in Supt. Rex Derilo, Supt. George Ylanan, Supt. Teofilo Siclot, Supt. Marvin Sanchez, and Supt. Rodolfo Albotra. The July 15 order from Camp Crame does not clarify the purpose for your relief.
But during his command check out at Police Regional Workplace in Central Visayas (PRO-7) last Monday, Dela Rosa hinted the fact that revamp of policemen in the region was due to reports that some of them have been receiving money from personalities involved with illegal drugs. “We must take out some policemen and relocate the criminals to disrupt their illegal operations,” he mentioned. He added that this services of the relieved officers are badly necessary in places exactly where terrorists and gun-for-hire groups operate. Derilo, who last week was designated head of the Regional Logistics Division, is maneuvering to Zamboanga Peninsula. For many years, Derilo served as chief on the Regional Intelligence Division. He and Ylanan led the team who killed Central Visayas’ top drug character Jeffrey “Jaguar” Diaz in Las Piñas City last June 17. Ylanan, chief of the Regional Unique Operations Group (RSOG) and deputy director for operations from the Cebu City Police Office, is getting moved to northern Mindanao.
Final week, Chief Supt. Noli Taliño, the PRO-7 director, ordered the mass relief of all 67 operatives in the Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force (RAIDSOTF) along with the RSOG regardless of neutralizing Diaz and one more suspected drug lord, Rowen “Yawa” Secretaria. Twenty-five of them had been transferred to Luzon and Manila, even though others in the industry await the orders from Camp Crame. Camp Crame also ordered the change in Siclot from the Regional Headquarters Support Group to Cagayan Valley Region.
Sanchez, chief from the Firearms Explosives Security Service Agency and Guards Supervisory Section (Fessags-7) will probably be sent for the Cordillera Region, whilst Albotra, head from the Provincial Intelligence Branch, is going to the Caraga Adminstrative Area in Mindanao. Taliño mentioned the relief on the five police superintendents is part of the significant revamp implemented by the PNP from leading to bottom. “As the PNP chief stated, we have to clear doubts. I’m not to imply these relieved officers get excited about illegal drugs trade. We simply need to fix this company,” he stated
